Dev Blog #2: Product Roadmap
Hey everyone! Coming at you hot with another dev blog regarding the product roadmap as discussed in the previous Dev Blog. It is subject to change.
Product Roadmap
Our roadmap board is organized into four lists:
Known Issues
- N/A — no active known issues are currently listed.
Backlog
These are queued up and planned:
-
Knowledge Update
Improving product clarity and guidance across the platform (docs, in-app hints, and overall understanding). -
Crovant Integrations 1.0
Laying down a solid, consistent foundation for integrations to be easier to enable, manage, and expand. -
Crovant API 1.0
The first major milestone for a stable public API that customers can build on top of.
In Dev
Actively being built:
- Crovant SDK 1.0 (target currently shown on the board: Jan 16)
A foundational SDK integrating straight into Roblox, more on this very soon.
Released
- N/A — nothing is listed under Released on the board yet (we’re using this list for major milestones and versioned releases).
What Changed Recently
This was a heavier “polish + correctness” update. A lot of it is aimed at making the platform clearer, smoother, and less error-prone.
First name is no longer required (and names are removable)
We removed the first name requirement entirely.
You can also remove first and last name at any time: just empty the fields and hit Save.
This is useful if you want a cleaner workspace profile or prefer not to store personal info.
Fixed a major workspace access issue
We addressed a major issue where users who were granted access to a workspace couldn’t access any pages, even if their permissions were correctly set.
If you were affected, you should now see consistent access behavior across the workspace based on role permissions.
“Owner” page renamed → Configuration
We renamed the Owner page to Configuration.
This was done for clarity: the page is really about configuration, access, and control—not ownership.
Configuration access control revamped (big usability upgrade)
Access control inside Configuration was heavily reworked to be simpler and faster:
- You can now bulk edit multiple roles at once
- The permissions management UI has been massively streamlined so it’s easier to understand and less tedious to use
The goal is straightforward: make permission editing something you can do in minutes, not something that feels like a chore.
Events + Assignments pages cleaned up (and events got better)
The Events and Assignments pages have been cleaned up and simplified to improve usability and make the pages easier to understand.
One example of what’s new:
- When creating an event, you can now add a description
- You can also attach an image to your event
This is part of making events feel more like a complete “announcement + schedule item” instead of just a title on a calendar.
New Ban List page + “review required” setting
Moderation got a new dedicated Ban List page.
Alongside that, there’s now a setting to control whether a review is required for each ban.
This feature will make a lot more sense in the near future—we’re building toward a moderation flow where bans and actions can tie into structured review and accountability.
The usual tweaks, fixes, and improvements
And of course—lots of smaller changes:
- bug fixes
- cleanup
- UI polish
- general stability improvements
What’s Next
The major forward momentum is centered on versioned foundations:
- Crovant SDK 1.0 (in active development)
- Crovant Integrations 1.0 (backlog, but a major priority)
- Crovant API 1.0 (backlog, foundational for external developers)
If you’re building on Crovant, these milestones will open up significantly more flexibility. Stay tuned, more to be revealed very soon.
